Do you pierce minors?

Yes, with proper consent and documentation:

  • Ear Lobes:

    • We start piercing lobes at 8 weeks old.

    • Must bring a Birth Certificate or Birth Facts from the doctor (must list parent’s name and child’s date of birth).

    • Parent/legal guardian must be present.

  • Nose, Belly Button, Eyebrow, Helix, Flat, or Tragus:

    • Minor must be at least 14 years old.

    • Must bring a Birth Certificate and one of the following forms of ID: School ID, State ID, or Passport.

    • Parent/legal guardian must be present.

  • Lip, Conch, Rook, or Daith:

    • Minor must be at least 16 years old.

    • Must bring a Birth Certificate and one of the following forms of ID: School ID, State ID, or Passport.

What aftercare products do you recommend?

We recommend using a sterile saline wound wash (not homemade solutions, alcohol, or peroxide).

  • A professional piercing aftercare saline spray is available in-store.

  • Using this consistently will help keep your piercing clean and support proper healing.

How long does healing take?

Healing times vary by piercing, but most take 6–12 weeks. Cartilage and specialty piercings may take longer.

  • Our piercers will go over the specific healing time for your piercing at the appointment.

  • You’ll also be sent home with a printed aftercare sheet for reference.

Can I swim or change my jewelry right away?

No. We recommend waiting until your piercing is fully healed before swimming or changing jewelry.

Do you provide the starter jewelry?

Yes — we use only implant-grade, sterilized jewelry for all initial piercings.

Can I bring my own jewelry?

No — for safety and sterilization purposes, all starter jewelry must be purchased from The Piercing Parlour.

Do piercers accept tips?

Yes — our piercers do accept tips if you’d like to show your appreciation.
